Hope For Recovery
Hope. Healing.Wholeness.
A community-driven path to freedom from addiction, rooted in faith and support.to bring hope to our community.
"Now may the God of all hope fill you with joy and peace... that ye may abound in hope." β Romans 15:13
Our History
Hope for Recovery was developed out of a stirring I felt in 2019 to put together a 12-week bible-based recovery group. The group was to be real and relevant & designed to meet the practical and spiritual needs of recovery without being too religious. I had no idea where to begin, but God took me on a journey, which ended with the development of not just 1 x 12-week group but 6 x 12-week groups which we now run as a 2-year community-based recovery program.

Graduation Celebration
A milestone of lasting recovery. If anyone goes on to complete all 6 courses, a final graduation certificate is presented. Each course can be done on its own or as part of the 2βyear program.
To graduate, participants must pass all 6 courses. This could take 2 years if each course is done backβtoβback, or longer if participants dip in and out. A course record is kept, and once all 6 courses have been completed successfully, a final graduation certificate is presented on the night.
December 2025 β Our first ever graduation. We held our inaugural celebration with 80 people attending to cheer our successful candidates on. There was great joy as many of their friends and family came along to support them on their big night.
Nicky Low from Clydebank F.C. was our guest of honour as he shared his powerful testimony and presented the certificates to our success graduates. Local MP Douglas McAllister presented a motion passed in Parliament acknowledging the work that Hope for Recovery & Hope Community Church is having upon the community.
π Looking ahead. Our next graduation is planned for Friday 4th December 2026, with 4 participants so far on track to graduate.
We look forward to celebrating another night of hope, transformation, and community recognition.
